Welcome to Dovers Dental Clinic. By accessing our website (doversdental.com) or using our dental services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking or receiving care.
These Terms should be read alongside our Refund & Cancellation Policy and our Privacy Policy, which form part of the agreement between you and Dovers Dental Clinic.
1 Acceptance of Terms
By booking an appointment, attending the clinic, or using our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services or website.
These Terms apply to all patients, website visitors, and anyone interacting with Dovers Dental Clinic through any channel.
2 Services Offered
Dovers Dental Clinic provides preventive, restorative, cosmetic, and emergency dental care at our clinic in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria. All services are subject to availability and professional clinical assessment.
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue treatment where it poses a risk to the health or safety of the patient or our team. Where we are unable to provide a requested service, we will tell you clearly and, where possible, offer a referral or alternative.
3 Appointment Booking & Confirmation
Appointments may be booked online, by telephone, by WhatsApp, or in person. You will receive a confirmation by SMS, email, or phone call after booking.
Same-day and emergency appointments are subject to availability. Booking a consultation does not guarantee a specific treatment will be performed at that visit — clinical assessment comes first.
4 Cancellation & Rescheduling
We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows us to offer your slot to another patient.
Three or more missed appointments (without adequate notice) within any 12-month period may result in a requirement to prepay future bookings in full. We will always give written notice before applying this condition, and you may request a review if you believe it has been applied unfairly.
5 Payment & Billing
All services are payable at the time of treatment unless a prior instalment arrangement has been agreed in writing. We accept cash, POS (debit/credit card), and bank transfer.
Interest-free instalment plans are available for certain treatments, subject to approval. The terms of any instalment plan will be confirmed in writing before treatment begins. Patients who default on an agreed instalment plan will be required to settle the outstanding balance before further treatment is provided.
Published prices are correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to update our fees and will provide reasonable advance notice of any changes that affect a treatment already agreed with a patient.
6 Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on whether treatment has commenced, what clinical resources and materials have been used, and the specific circumstances of the request.
7 Patient Health Information & Consent
Before any treatment, you are required to provide an accurate and complete medical and dental history, including any medications, allergies, or health conditions. Failure to disclose relevant information may increase clinical risk and limit our ability to treat you safely.
Treatment proceeds only with your informed consent. We will explain the proposed procedure, its purpose, the expected outcome, alternative options, and the associated risks before you consent. You have the right to ask questions and to refuse or withdraw consent at any time before treatment commences.
For patients under 18, consent must be provided by a parent or legal guardian, who must be present at the appointment.
8 Clinical Outcomes & Our Responsibility
We are committed to providing dental care that meets accepted professional standards. Dental treatment involves inherent clinical risks, and outcomes can vary depending on a patient's oral health, medical history, biological response, and compliance with aftercare instructions.
| Situation | Our Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Clinical error or failure to meet our standard of care | We take full responsibility — we will correct the problem at no charge and, where appropriate, provide a refund |
| Outcome varies due to individual biology or health | We are not liable for variations that could not reasonably be anticipated or prevented |
| Complication from failure to follow aftercare instructions | We are not liable where written aftercare instructions were not followed |
| Loss or theft of personal property at the clinic | We are not responsible for personal items brought to the clinic |
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for clinical negligence, personal injury, or death caused by our fault.
